ComBlitz - A game about surviving an onslaught


Hey everyone this is a post a top down shooter called ComBlitz. The basic idea of the game was first initiated during the Extra Credits Design Jam. As I didn't have much time I made a very basic version in about 4 hrs about defending a base from enemies spawning. After about a week I sat down with the game and thought of some ideas.


I wanted to include the theme of Ludum Dare 42 ( Running Out of Space )  as I didn't get to participate in the jam. A game that intrigued me from the Ludum Dare Jam was about making factories to make grounds which fell off after sometime. I really liked the idea and thought about incorporating it in my game. 


So I ran with that idea. I was also thinking about making a top down shooter for a about a month. Thus I combined both the ideas to create ComBlitz. The main idea of the game is that there are no enemies unless you create them. The grounds keep on falling off and the basic idea is to make sure you don't die or your base does not get destroyed. You create enemy factories to create enemies and get orbs on killing them. This allows you to create grounds and thus survive for a longer period of time.


The game involves both strategy and shooter elements that was fun to play  ( I liked it at the very least ) .  I really hope that you will also have as much fun playing it as I did. Feedback and comments will be highly appreciated as I like to incorporate the fixes both in this game and to improve myself. Cheers
